I have fifteen years experience practicing, researching and writing in criminal law. My experience started as a Wisconsin Public Defender for nine years. I then wanted to write about my intriguing experiences representing indigent clients. I write about conundrums in the criminal justice system. My cases gave me my greatest avenue for writing. My first scholarly article focused on battered mothers being criminally responsible for the fate of the children they never abused.
