As an independent sales representative and CEO of Great Lakes Furnishings, Inc., I have been covering the Chicago and NW Indiana markets for over 27 years, working with the Ashley Stationary Division for 26 years, and now working with New Classic, Iconic Pineapple and some great lines. My mission is to add value to my clients' home furnishings businesses, with an emphasis on marketing, advertising, and effective promotions.I have a strong track record of achieving sales and marketing excellence, as evidenced by multiple awards and recognition from my customers, my peers and the manufacturer's I have been proud to be associated with. I also have extensive experience in product design, merchandising coordination, retail training, and new account development. In addition, I have served as a leader and mentor in the industry, as the former Chairman and President of IHFRA, where I oversaw the executive committee and advised the president. Prior to my 6 year commitment to the IHFRA Board of Directors, I worked with the Midwest Furniture Club, serving on the Board of Directors from 2010 through present, serving several terms as President and founding and running the MIdwest Furniture Show for the first 10 years. I continue to serve the Club with a focus on improving our social media presence, our website and updating our communication methods.I love our industry.
