I also believe in the importance of integrating employer support into educational provision, whether that be guest speakers, work place visits, placements and, just as importantly into curriculum support and design. Starting with 1 Level 2 group and me, we currently have over 150 students studying AAT Levels 1 to 4 and 6 additional members of staffMaintaining outstanding success rates – above in 90% in 13/14, 14/15 and 15/16 AAT Best New Provider of the Year 2014Setting up our highly successful Career Ready in Accounting 16/18 year old provision where students study:Year 1 – AAT level 2 Certificate in Accounting, BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Business, ifs Certificate in Financial Studies. Year 2 – AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting, BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Business100% success year on year with all students having access to a Business Mentor, a six-week paid internship and access to a vast array of work-related activitiesA pre-requisite of setting up a Career Ready programme is to set up an employer led Local Advisory Board. Our LAB has been together for over three years and consists of a Chair from RSM and senior members of staff from BDO, RBS, ITV, SiSTV, Peel Media, Bank of New York Mellon and Salford City Council. Successful implementation, coordination and delivery of Foundation Degrees in partnership with Salford University’s Business School.
