Review and evaluate residential and commercial real estate loans of member banks for eligibility as pledged loan collateral for lines of credit.

Assist company with review and analysis of commercial real estate loan collateral and equity investment positions for its client base. Team member on special projects that included individual large loan, equity position/investment and portfolio analysis for commercial real estate assets in Asia, including Japan, China and Thailand.

Assist company with all aspects of commercial real estate underwriting and loan sales in the CMBS market. Tasks included underwriting and preparation of individual loan asset reports and working directly with B-Buyers, accountants and legal counsel regarding preparation and presentation of data to be included in sales prospectuses for CMBS loan portfolio sales.

Acted as a company director overseeing the credit analysis, loan administration, loan underwriting and loan servicing staff for a portfolio of loan and equity investments exceeding $2 billion. Loan underwriting oversight responsibilities included equity investment in construction and rehabilitation facilities for multi-million projects across the country and loans on standing real estate mapped for CMBS sales. Other tasks included review of loan servicing agreements to insure proper and timely reporting of property portfolio status for investors.

Vice President title held. Multiple positions during tenure include (1) portfolio manager and work out specialist of a large pool of problem credits including hotel construction loans, a bank branch building loan portfolio (old Security Pacific bank buildings) and underwriting loans-to-facilitate the sale of foreclosure properties, (2) senior underwriter of a for-book standing commercial real estate loan portfolio and (3) senior and charter loan underwriter for BofA's entry into the CMBS business (1994). Tasks also included management of the credit analyst team.

Worked for the Real Estate Investment Group (REIG). Tasks included underwriting construction and mini-perm commercial real estate loans for high-end clients of the bank's commercial business lending offices. Also underwrote CRA loans for low-income housing clients and managed several CRE loan portfolios, including loan work-outs. In addition, was a member of the bank's CRE underwriting due deligence team for Bank mergers and acquisitions.
