Training and Development Team (TDT) Warrant Officer (Class 1). Responsible for designing, conducting and implementing quality assurance audits and giving timely advice to units who delivered the Royal Logistic Corps (RLC) Command, Leadership and Management soldier promotion courses. The process was Defence System Approach to Training (DSAT) compliant, which meant I had to be conversant with all elements of the DSAT process from conducting a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) through to course implementation, delivery and audit compliance and Training Analysis. Responsible for producing accurate reports for Director RLC and CEO HQ DRLC TDT in order that they could review the standard of soldier promotion course across the Corps.

After enlisting in 1986 I gained the requisite knowledge, skills and experience in transport logistics and rose through the ranks from Driver (Private rank) through to Warrant Officer Class 1, before commissioning as a Late Entry Officer in 2007. Serving in the UK and other locations, with responsibilities which included leading and managing teams from 4 to in excess of 100 soldiers. All areas of transport management for LGV fleets and their associated ancillaries, including their routine maintenance and readiness to comply with UK standards. Planning and delivery of unit sport and adventurous training activities in the UK and overseas. These activities were designed to further develop individuals and groups through teamwork and being stretched physically and mentally.
