When I am not participating in these programs, I am entering data, troubleshooting GIS issues, and conducting web editing.* Collecting various water samples throughout Whatcom County's watershed and creating data summaries and data entry of these results.* Data management of Whatcom County's PIC database. Additionally contributing to our Watershed Planning GIS database with varying sources of water.* Monitoring harmful algal blooms by routinely collecting water samples within the Salish Sea.* Protecting native plants by identifying and eradicating various noxious weeds. * Conducting biological surveys that identify important forage fish eggs. These eggs are collected by sediment sampling and processing.* Participating in fish passage improvements by maintaining floodgates.

Conducting a biological survey on beetles and community outreach for Washington State Department of Agriculture’s Japanese Beetle Pest Program.• Utilize GIS tools proficiently to collect and report data accurately, contributing to the efficiency of daily tasks and enhance understanding of invasive species detection, survey, control, and eradication methods.• Successfully executed a biological survey of Japanese beetles by independently placing +500 beetle traps throughout the Tri-Cities area over the course of a month. Currently conducting field monitoring for specimen collection.• Enhancing collaboration efforts by effectively communicating complex scientific concepts with diverse audiences, demonstrating bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
