Develops and monitors the Food Safety Management System and maintains relevant standardized records and reports, with the view to gaining ISO22000:2005 accreditation and certification; Establishes standards and controls for good manufacturing practices of all food production, handling areas and equipment to ensure statutory requirements are met; Ensure that the performance of the FSMS is reviewed at planned intervals to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness. This review means assessing opportunities for improvement and the need for changes to the FSMS; Ensure the promotion of awareness of highest food quality and hygiene standards throughout Lifestyle Holdings’ food sub-business units. To alert and initiate corrective actions in areas where non-conformances arise. To train all staff on Good Manufacturing Practices(GMPs), and Good Hygiene Practices(GHPs) as well bring the trainees to account by overseeing the quality inspections/audits. Establish and conduct an internal audit programme to verify that the practices conform to planned arrangements and statutory guidelines are effectively implemented and maintained. Ensures that appropriate action is taken when this is not the case and works with line manager to address any issues revealed by internal and external audits; Use customer complaints trends as a guide to investigate and take action on necessary food quality and safety issues; and ensure that top management undertakes periodic but regular assessments of customer satisfaction and that consequent improvement are identified and implemented; Report to top management on the performance of the FSMS and any need for improvement.
