Job Description: Primarily responsible for Product Quality online & out the door as well as what displays on the retailers floor. Management of Quality Controllers & their KPI’S & performance in the factory. Deals with customer complaints incl. internal actions & communication as a result of complaints. Primarily responsible for Supplier quality assurance and compliance.As Quality manager in a Fruit packing and processing factory, that supplies major retailers including WW,PnP and export markets in Europe and the East.I am in charge of all compliance issues as well as Research and development for new products. I have succesfully managed FSA compliance and the WW Hygiene audits together with ensuring compliance with TESCO and EU Codex limits for residues and meeting all microbiological specs for high risk areas. 1. QUALITY CONTROL-OUT: Manage the QC -Out process daily. - Decision-making regarding QC-out issues. 2. ONLINE QUALITY CONTROL: Batch Allocation, Online Quality Control & Reject Management Daily prioritising of batches & timeous, accurate batch allocation according to product quality. - Daily monitoring of product quality in cold rooms. Prioritise batch allocation according to ripening rooms to prioritise batch allocation according to quality. - Timeous & Accurate batch allocation according to packing-plan & fruit quality. - Relevant Communication to team around batches daily. Manage online QC process & Quality Controllers in the factory. - Must show a thorough knowledge of fruit specifications & be in a position to assist all supervisors with quality problems. Verify online QC reports. Decisions to be made regarding online issues: - changes to batch allocation on internal systems. - quality acceptable if any discrepancies are noticed, captured & updated 3. SHELF-LIFE: Consistent, Accurate & Comprehensive management.4. STAFF/TEAM MANAGEMENT: Support, Guide and Oversee responsibilities of quality controllers.

Ensuring that processes needed for Total Quality Management (TQM) were established, implemented and maintained. Developed and monitored the Food Safety Management System and maintained relevant standardized records and reports enroute gaining ISO22000:2005 accreditation and certification;▪Established standards and controls for good manufacturing practices of all food production, handling areas and equipment to ensure statutory requirements were met;▪Ensured that the performance of the FSMS was reviewed at planned intervals to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness.
