After starting my career in Waltham, MA where I served as President of the Medical Staff and Chief of GI at Deaconess Waltham Hospital, I moved to MetroWest Medical Center where I again had the privilege to serve as Chief (President) of the medical staff. There, as Chair of the Department of Medicine and Director of Academic Affairs at MWMC, I served on all major hospital committees and oversaw strategic planning, recruitment and retention, privileging and credentialing, quality and patient safety for a department of more than 270 active staff members. A passionate medical educator, I also supervise all postgraduate teaching programs for residents, fellows, medical students, PA students and nurse practitioner students across 6 major university affiliations. At Tufts University School of Medicine, where I am an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine, I served on the Admissions Committee, and continue to serve on the Steering Committee of the Physician Assistant Program and as an Academic Dean. I've spent my career in Independent Practice, served as President of the medical staff at two community hospitals in MA, and co-founded the Massachusetts Gastroenterology Association, the Massachusetts Independent Physician Practice Association, and the Special Committee on the Sustainability of Private Practice at the Massachusetts Medical Society. I currently serve as VP of Clinical Affairs for Gastro Health in Massachusetts where I provide strategic and operational support to all Gastro Health Massachusetts providers and care centers. A change manager and collaborator, I have the resolve to see all manner of health care organizations through times of change and have successfully collaborated with business leaders, entrepreneurs, hospital administrators, nurses and peers on multiple initiatives.Clinically, I am an experienced interventional endoscopist, gastroenterologist and hepatologist, with the rare privilege of being on staff at two major Harvard Teaching Hospitals-- Brigham and Women's Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
