The Digestive Health Physicians Association (DHPA) is a trade association currently comprised of 89 independent gastroenterology (GI) physician practices in 38 states with the aim of promoting and preserving accessible, high quality and cost-efficient care in the independent GI medical practice setting. The DHPA’s member practices include more than 2000 gastroenterologists and other physician specialists who provide care for over 2.5 million patients annually. DHPA member practices employ more than 11,000 employees in their medical groups.
DHPA focuses on collecting, benchmarking and analyzing data relevant to independent GI medical practices. The association capitalizes on its member practices’ data resources to augment DHPA’s public policy, education and advocacy efforts on behalf of independent GI practices and their patients. Our members continually strive to improve patient care and outcomes by supporting healthcare policy that promotes accessible, high quality and cost-efficient medicine in the independent GI medical practice setting.
