As a Colorado College senior graduating in 2023, I am seeking to advance my outdoor industry career. I am disciplined, hard-working, and passionate about innovative, functional, and sustainable outdoor gear and apparel, and the diverse sport and outdoor communities. I want to help design products so polished it is recognizable without a logo. I have already served as a veteran retail specialist and outdoors guide. My college major in International Political Economy deepened my knowledge of business, ethics, culture, and history. My Southwest Studies minor has transformed my understanding of the region's struggles from immigration to water rights. As an outdoorsman who is meticulous, adaptable, and resilient, I enjoy helping people. I am seeking new challenges in customer service, merchandising, operations, events, and most of all, engaging customers to build relationships and share my love of the outdoors.I love to challenge myself. From leading a harrowing climbing pitch to writing an in-depth analysis of the invasion of Ukraine, I am continually obsessed with perfecting and expanding my skills. I have worked a myriad of jobs ranging from commercial fishing to academic research; and yet, I have not encountered a task that did not yield when I applied myself. I am a problem solver obsessed with ergonomic and elegant solutions. My brain is constantly at work evaluating the established systems and unsolved problems that surround me. I am a tinkerer at heart, who spends his spare time building. I take pride in my work and have a special acuity for creating whether that be baking a loaf of sourdough bread or custom painting a bike. .
