As the West Coast Sales/Marketing Manager for a Fortune 200 Company, my territory has included the states of California, Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii, encompassing 2,000 customers. Also, while serving as a Sales Manager for two Fortune 500 companies, I managed twelve (12) sales & technical support people in specialty chemicals (industrial water treatment, process chemicals & electronic materials), scientific instrumentation and process equipment. In the role of Salesman/Manager I have achieved optimal profit levels through value-added consultative selling to C-level decision-makers. Major customers have included; Spacex, TRW, Hughes (Raytheon), Sony, HP, Northrop-Grumman, General Dynamics, Boeing, Lockheed, JPL/NASA, Chevron Refineries, Exxon-Mobil, BP, Valero, Edgington Oil, Unocal 76 Pipeline, Baxter, Nestle, Sunkist, Darling Delaware, Southern California Edison, Monsanto, Kaiser Steel, Borden Chemical, FMC, Ford, Teledyne McCormick Selph, Goodyear, GM, Disney, NBC/Universal, Amgen, UCLA, USC, Stanford, San Jose State University, UC Davis, Air Liquide, Air Products, Praxair, Dow, LADWP, LA Sanitation, Glendale, Burbank & Pasadena Power Plants, Federal GSA, Aerospace Corporation, SCAQMD and many others. While serving on the Board of Directors of the California Circuits Association, as the Environmental Committee Chairman, I was the principal co-founder of the 600+ member California Industrial Coalition Committee, a political action organization that included such diverse groups as the California Manufacturers Association and the AFL-CIO. Our coalition made history by introducing an industry-sponsored environmental bill (AB 646), significantly revising existing legislation, that passed both the Assembly and Senate. The Governor signed the bill into law.
