As Director of Security and Life Safety to The Yards in Washington DC, a 48 acre and growing mixed use property of 3000+ living and working on sight including business professionals , professional athletes, politicians and with reoccurring visits from past and present Presidents. My job is to protect our people, property, residents, visitors and guests. I accomplish this by using my skills from 30 years in Law Enforcement along with state of the art technology deployed through out the campus and the use of a physical guard force contracted through a third party vendor . I work along side DCMPD, Navy PD and Secret Service to make sure safety is a priority. Manage an annual budget of $350,000 Effectively directs a contract security team Supervises a third party concierge service for all residential buildings Oversees all lease violations and evictions Records incident reports with detailed account of occurrences Files personal injury and property insurance claims as needed Oversees fire safety equipment including repairs to wet and dry sprinkler system, smoke and heat detectors with an extensive knowledge of Simplex , Honey Well , Silent Night fire monitoring systemMonitors and oversees placing and repairing of CCTV for the entire facility extensive knowledge of KABA and Trueportal access control systems to include programming and reprogramming keys , lock audits and door programming.
