Plans, organizes, coordinates and directs the city’s comprehensive police services and law enforcement programs, including patrol, traffic enforcement, investigation, animal control, community outreach programs and administrative support services. Provides professional assistance to City management staff in areas of expertise and coordinates assigned activities with other City departments and outside agencies; fosters cooperative working relationships with citizen groups and other agencies on police matters; provides complex administrative support to the Mayor and Board of Trustees. Administrator for the Department of Surgery and its sixteen divisions for the hospital and eight divisions for the 180 member multi-specialty group practice. Oversaw all areas of operations including: management of 6.5 million dollar budget, Ambulatory care operations, development of marketing strategies, recruitment of physicians, research/education coordination, fiscal/reimbursement tracking and planning.
