This position is in the Office of Data, Reporting and Privacy. This position serves on state data committees representing NCDPI for state-wide initiatives. This position is focused on the PK-13 data and its metadata, mapping and managing alignment to standards and creating a data dictionary.

As a result of the 2018-19 budget legislation, NCDPI was tasked with School Business Systems Modernization, and a new organizational unit was created. I work as the Business Analyst for the Human Resources IT team at NCDPI. This team is responsible for the HRMS (Human Resource Management System) package that supports the LEAs (Local Education Agencies) across North Carolina. This team supports tools that assist the school districts with staffing (candidate application, review, selection, on-boarding), position management, employee activity (leaves, budgeting, position assignment) and reporting (ad hoc, state, federal, local).

I served as the Lead Data and Systems Analyst for the NC Common Education Data Analysis and Reporting System (CEDARS). CEDARS is an umbrella program for a collection of systems and data, which has as its ultimate goal, providing a longitudinal data warehouse for PK-13 data.
