PSP: Liquids is developing a 900lbf Methane-LOX rocket targeting a peak altitude of 40,000 feet. We are completely student run. As a Responsible Engineer, I lead a small team designing the structure between our fuel and helium tanks, which has to integrate with electronics, fluid systems, and ground support equipment. The most important technical projects I completed are FEA on the primary structure of the Upper Airframe and a MATLAB program which calculated loads, preloads, and torque specs for load-bearing bolts in tension. I'm most proud of teaching new members FEA skills.
