This course focused on portable wearable technologies by using a the Shimmer biosensor platform and introducing Android programming to develop applications for personal health use. Students had the freedom to choose their own area of interest (Example: stress analysis, arrhythmia detection, epileptic seizure alarms, etc.) The responsibilities of the teaching assistant were:- Design and conduct lab exercises for Android development, Bluetooth communication and Java signal processing- Provide assistance and troubleshooting for Matlab and Java programming- Guide students to transfer signal processing algorithms developed in Matlab to object oriented programming in Java for their Android applications

First Year Engineering Course, Problem Solving Using C++Responsibilities included supervising and assisting students in lab work and help sessions. Also corrected and supervised midterm and final exams.

Project consisted of developing an Android application for Bluetooth communication between mobile device and pulse oximeter and uploading results to a cloud storage service.

Research was conducted at the MEMPHYS (membrane physics) institute at the University of Southern Denmark.Research consisted of preparing small unilamellar vesicles (SUV) with fluorescent probes and testing their physical stability when absorbed by tissue through fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) measurements.

Research consisted of developing human tissue phantoms to be used for ultrasound imaging. Studied the applications, properties and effects of ultrasound imaging on the test phantoms. Developed a final product phantom using an alginate-graphite mix.

Was elected as one of two student trustees on the board of trustees for the entire school board by panel of students through a multi-staged election process.Represented students at board meetings and was available as a direct point of contact for students to express their interests and concerns.Sat on several organizational committees of the school board.
