Dr. George White was the inaugural Managing Director of Student Access and Success and spent 30 years as Professor of Educational Leadership. The position of Managing Director was responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive set of university-wide strategies addressing recruitment and admission, financial aid, student life, academic coaching and advisement, and postgraduate support designed to meet the needs of first-generation and low-income students. Dr. White served as the Director of the Educational Leadership program and was instrumental in developing the International School Leadership program designed to prepare and support school leaders to work in International Schools throughout the world. He is the founding Director of the Center for Developing Urban Educational Leaders, a program dedicated to the research and practice of effective preparation and support of principals working in high need urban communities. He is a nationally recognized consultant, having worked with over 100 schools nationally and internationally as well as hospitals and governmental agencies in addressing the issues associated with organizational development and change and on topics relating leadership development and strategic planning. Dr. White is a Class of ‘61 Endowed Professor at Lehigh University and was the Iacocca Professor of Education from 2012-2017.
