As a dedicated Youth Worker based in Melbourne, I currently work as the Youth Response & Mobilisation Worker at the Wyndham City Council.My passion for supporting young people and community development led me to the Youth Work industry, where I can make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people. I discovered my passion for youth work while living in Adelaide, South Australia, where I noticed a need to empower young migrants to reach their full potential. Initially, I had considered studying criminal law. Still, through volunteering as a mentor, I wanted to take a more hands-on approach and become fully involved in the community. I completed a Bachelor of Youth Work at Victoria University and, since then, have had the fantastic opportunity to work in various spaces within the sector, developing valuable experiences and connections that have brought me to where I am today. In my free time, I volunteer for various community organizations in the western suburbs, particularly in the South Sudanese Australian communities. I am also an advocate for various issues that affect young people, including integration, education, mental health, sports, arts, employment, family life and relationships with elders within and outside the community.
