I am currently designing a deployable Hybrid Aeroelastic Solar Energy Harvester under the supervision of Dr. Bryant in the Intelligent Structures and Systems Laboratory. Whenever wind flows past the solar ribbon, it vibrates. These vibrations are then converted into electricity using piezoelectric strips in addition to the electricity produced from the sun.

I designed and built a prototype robot which can drive on the beaches and pickup pollution. Using an Arduino and Autodesk Inventor, I designed an aluminum base with a robotic arm controlled by gestures inputed through a Wii nunchuck. The controls are gesture based. If you swing the controller to the right the arm swivels to the right. When deployed in swarms these robots can autonomously recognize debris and follow a pre-determined path to collects the beach trash.
