I was also a member of the 2016 TfL Railway Challenge team, where I designed & built a 1/5 scale locomotive. This project was completed with 6 other TfL graduates, where we followed the TfL project management tool called Pathway, gaining good exposure to project management techniques. I was responsible for the design & build of the drivetrain and also managed the manufacture of the train, directing apprentices and my colleagues. This resulted in competing against other companies and universities in 8 different challenges to test the different features of the locomotive.
