Under his leadership the assets under management grew by $100 million, grantmaking increased 216%, and the Foundation was in the top ten nationwide in growth for community foundations its size and larger.He organized the first "Lowcountry Giving Day" in South Carolina, a single day of online fundraising that generated $4 million for 93 area charities. That year it was the most successful first time effort in the US. In the second year $7 million was raised for 179 area charities, the second largest nationally in funds raised that day (Seattle's longer-established effort took top prize).
