I am a passionate and enthusiastic first year student striving towards my future of becoming an accredited practicing dietitian. I am undergoing my higher education at Griffith University, where I am enriching my knowledge in human health and related concepts. My motive to becoming a dietitian stems from my desire to make a positive impact on people's lives by promoting the power of balanced eating and educating others on the intricate relationship between food and wellness. Throughout my 4+ years of experience working in the retail industry I have developed a variety of transferrable skills that will enrich my practice as a future dietitian. Some of these skills include:1. Communication - I am constantly required to verbally communicate with customers and colleagues through social interactions. I also communicate digitally with staff via email, messages and Tanda.2. Problem Solving -Adapting to customer needs, handling customer complaints, and time management all require problem solving skills.3. Leadership - As one of the older and more experienced workers at my part time job I am often in charge of training new employees and demonstrating a good example of our company's values by maintaining professionalism.
