I am an employment and equality lawyer, with a background in commercial litigation in the US and the UK.People spend most of their time at work, and it's important that it reflects the values of fairness and inclusion that we all hold dear. I advise people when they feel they have been dealt an injustice, whether as an employee or an employer. Sometimes everyone is trying to do the right thing, but the path is just not clear. I help clients work through conflicting considerations and laws to find that clear path. My equality work extends beyond employment to representing people who are discriminated against or harassed in education and when trying to access goods and services.I bring claims on behalf of students and staff who feel let down by their university after being subjected to discrimination or harassment on campus. I also work with academics, lobby groups and universities to improve their internal complaints processes.We have some good and strong laws in this country, but they are only good if they can be used, and I strongly believe in using the law to give everyone a voice and to correct injustices, whether at work or elsewhere.
