I believe we are now entering the era of applying digitalization in ways that really transform how the world works and lives in a sustainable way. This is especially true for banks and insurances since they now have to master the transition of their legacy IT into a business transforming capability.I have learned how to design and run large technology environments and how to run large programs from my Diploma and PhD in Chemical Engineering. Starting 1999 I have been working with large international corporations on maximizing return on IT investments through looking at IT enabled / digital business strategies, designing durable IT architectures or driving IT efficiency improvement. Since 2005 I am focusing on banking and insurance where I still think there is a large necessity in re-inventing the business mode and transform into digital companies with a considerable human touch. While banks and insurances have invested in digital channels in the past years, they now need to complement it with human-to-human interaction to successfully sell complex financial products. In 2021 I have re-joined Accenture to further accelerate the growth of its Microsoft based business in banks and insurances across Europe. Microsoft technology, Avanade deep technology experts and Accenture business consultants and system integrators are the perfect team to help banks and insurances mastering their digital challenges.
