Geologist (P. Geo) / geotechnical professional with 12 years industry experience, both in oil and gas and on large scale infrastructure projects. I have a proven track record of scheduling staff and contractors, meeting client deliverables, and promoting a safe work culture. I believe safety is of paramount importance on all construction and mining related projects, and that providing an incident-free work environment can go hand-in-hand with working efficiently and on budget.I began my career in 2011 as a field geologist with Terracon Geotechnique where I became very comfortable working around mining sites and in remote locations. In August 2013 I was promoted to a project coordinator/supervisor role where I lead a staff of up to 30 professionals, and through this position I developed excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner. Client liason, scheduling and monitoring of project deliverables were essential skills in this role and my team helped one of the major oil producers achieve their most productive drilling season to date. In 2016 I took a position with Thurber Engineering where I worked on major geotechnical engineering projects including the City of Calgary’s Green Line LRT and the Gordie Howe International Bridge from Windsor to Detroit as well as smaller projects such as wind farms and culvert replacements.Joining Wood in 2020, I have contributed to the geotechnical investigation of three upcoming subway lines in Toronto, the Ontario Line, the Scarborough Subway Extension, and the Yonge Street North Subway Extension.
