About Lance Davis
I have been employed in the industry for a number of years, starting off on a workover rig in 1978. Have worked all over Alberta and BC, as well as the the bottom corner of the Yukon (Kotanelee). Also had the privilege of working internationally (Russia, Guatemala, Poland and the USA).I Have supervised operations on all types of wells (heavy oil, sweet & sour gas, HZ shale, critcial sour, etc). Work included Completions, Workovers, Re-entries and Abandonments. Well versed in Wellview, Openwells, Petrosight and excel based reporting software.I started Wellsite Supervising in October 2000 with Talisman Energy and had a great run with them up to December 2010. Worked a brief stint with Shell Canada, and then the opportunity arose to join Talisman USA in TX and I jumped at it.I spent 7.5 years (2011-2019) working in the Eagle Ford area of southwest TX in a Field Ops lead position, starting with Talisman Energy USA and finishing with Equinor (Statoil) - the two companies were 50/50 partners in the play. There was a year between the two companies, spent in Canada & Poland.Have been busy for various operators the last couple years (thru Tristar, Decca and direct contract), doing workovers & completions around Rocky Mountain House, Nordegg, Robb, Fox Creek, Eaglesham & Grande Praire. Operators included Concourse Petroleum, Canlin Energy, Spartan Delta, Pipestone & Halo Exploration. Just finished up work in Ohio from Aug 2022 - May 2024 (Equinor sold out to EQT), providing oversight on Utica completion, workover & abandonment operations for Equinor US Onshore. Our final project was fracing operations on a 5 well pad, placing 637 stages, utilizing an electric frac fleet. Was a great place to work, awesome work mates and vendors.I have always had great rapport with management, co-workers and vendors. Quite knowledgeable on a wide variety of operations, have no problem asking questions when I need to, and enjoy learning about new methods or technologies.
