As a proven leader with a diverse technical skill set, I am seeking a position where I can return to engineering or science, in industry or teaching.After owning and managing a coffee house and bookstore for seven years, I decided to embark on my fifth career with a company which specializes in connecting people to the power of the outdoors, and engaging in the fight to protect it. Running The Coffee Shelf, hiring and mentoring young people with diverse backgrounds, I had to relearn how to communicate with and motivate a team to be the best they can be. I am proud of starting a brand new business, which in two years became a fixture in the community. This was accomplished by remaining true to our value drivers, but more importantly, empowering young people to take ownership in our success.Previously, a proven Sales Executive, Leader, and Mentor, having completed a full career as a Marine Officer, followed by 5 years in Strategic Sales in the Aerospace & Space Industry.In my role of Strategic Sales, I helped my company position itself for sustainable organic growth through market share gain on large Aerospace programs. This led to long-term sustainable relationships with major Aerospace and Space OEMs throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. As a Market Manager for Technetics Group, a part of EnPro Industries, I provide solutions for applications in the Aerospace, Space, and Defense markets that require highly engineered products.
