GaN Laser Diodes Project • Investigated methods of improving lasing qualities of electrically-injected GaN/InGaN microdisk diodes, measuring early PL data of high quality samples.Moiré Bilayer PhC Cavity Lasers Project • Improved a complex procedure for fabricating single-layer PhCs in GaN, optimizing the etch and lithography processes. • Tested different mechanisms and materials for stacking PhC layers (Ongoing).

• Developed and optimized a fabrication process for patterned metal deposition using bi-layer liftoff, significantly reducing cycle time. • Monitored particle counts in the cleanroom, investigated contamination issues and presented suggestions for improvement to relevant teams.• Modified the recipe and mount for a cleaning step, improving efficiency and addressing safety concerns.

• Led the digital authoritarianism advocacy team in publishing op-eds in local and community outlets and working on collaborative campaigns with organizations advocating for digital rights (ongoing).

• Co-wrote a 60-page policy research report addressing democratic recession in the form of rising global digital authoritarianism after the COVID 19 Pandemic

• Served as a peer tutor in undergraduate Physics and Mathematics coursework.

• Worked on the mechanical side of a team designing, building and launching a 2U CubeSat. • Prototyped the CubeSat superstructure, researched designs for solar panel deployment and made initial CADs in Solidworks.
