A Vast Oversimplification: I assist individuals with mental health diagnoses in identifying, locating, securing, and maintaining independent housing (such as an apartment) via person-centered methodologies in support services, skill-building, advocacy, education, and service references toward an end goal of fully independent living.Secondarily, I have spent a great deal of time helping the Mental Health; Supported Housing: Independent Housing Program (IHP) get caught back up on paperwork.Personally, I am hoping to build some data tools to help improve the efficacy and efficiency of IHP in maintaining compliance, results-based accountability, and operations.

Quasar's Trading Post is a microbusiness in the Greater Syracuse Region of New York. I founded this company as an experiment to pay bills and keep my skills honed.The primary business model involves connecting people who are looking for objects to the objects they are looking for. The added stipulation of offering fair prices to both vendors and customers is strictly maintained.This unusual model, with stipulation, is achieved through research into the differences in the subjective value of an item in different physical and virtual markets. Such a system allows one the possibility of over-paying a vendor and under-charging a customer while still maintaining profitability.I also keep costs low by running efficiency analysis, process improvement, and making small automation tools.Profitability is further maintained by running decision theory analysis to select growth directions and limitations thereof.Some Relevant Projects:• Designed, built, maintained, and operated a custom database for managing unique-item inventory across multiple sales channels in SQL.• Built an interface for assisting in market valuation research of inventory items in GAMBAS (currently attempting to upgrade to R + Shiny).• Personally accountable for all financial/accounting reports and business decision making.

This is a collection of many different contract projects for many different clients and companies (most still under NDA) that I have aggregated into a single heading for ease of reporting/viewing.During this time, I found my own clients, negotiated pricing, asked probing questions, designed project work flows, performed literature reviews, learned very quickly anything needed to complete the project, programmed, tested, troubleshot, reported, taught/trained, edited, documented, analyzed, and created deliverables, including business plans, for others.Some Relevant Projects:• Used R to reduce an 8 hour manual accounting process to a 12 minute data manipulation script.• Rapid-prototyped more than 12 business plans for customers, including some fit analysis and market-viability research.• Assisted in the editing of the English-version of a Mandarin-Chinese Linguistics-Research PhD Dissertation for final submission.NOTE (because I keep getting questions):I do NOT enjoy the process of having to constantly try to sell myself and my abilities to others on the hope of landing a contract. As such, I do not currently seek out these opportunities. However, I am still open to occasional side work for the right clients (unless a new employer requests exclusivity).
