Gerald Neely is extremely knowledgeable of the construction industry and strives to keep abreast of industry changes and improvements. He has supervised hundreds of subcontractors and is dedicated to ensuring that the construction work is done correctly and professionally. His past experiences give him keen foresight into facilitating all kinds of construction projects—large and small. His general company duties include: ~ Supervises and oversees C-1 construction projects -- residential, commercial, and industrial~ Performs rehab and renovation services as well as restoration services resulting from fire, wind, and/or other disasters (based on insurance scopes and requirements)~ Subcontracts as requested and agreed for other related jobs~ Actively seeks contract opportunities ~ Develops relationships with businesses, vendors, suppliers, and community members to expand and grow the business~ Conducts marketing/sales calls to expand C-1’s market niche ~ Participates in networking opportunitiesOther Highlights: ~ In 2011, Gerald graduated from the Leadership Memphis Executive Program. This year-long program brings together leaders from all sectors of the community to promote diversity, inclusion, collaboration and civic engagement.~ In 2008, Gerald completed the Developer Incubator Course sponsored by the City of Memphis and the Center City Commission. The 15-week course introduced participants to the development process and local business opportunities.

Memphis Business Development Center (MBDC):Monitored and coordinated the State of Tennessee and Federal economic development and employment programs between administrative agencies and the City of Memphis. Researched, coordinated, and disseminated information on contracting programs. Located state and local contract opportunities. Helped to create certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). Coordinated with the appropriate State of Tennessee office and conducted training sessions on contract and labor initiatives, and federal regulatory requirements. Provided technical, bonding, and financial assistances to local contractors needing to secure and/or negotiate contracts with the public and private sector.
