CurrentManage and oversee the daily operations of all STEM pre-college engineering programs for the organization. Created the Girls in Engineering Academy (GEA) program in an effort to recruit more underrepresented minority females into STEM and engineering. Responsible for designing and developing new STEM educational initiatives for middle and high school students within the metropolitan Detroit area. Manage contract grant and funding activity for all GEA programs. Develop and manage budgets for all pre-college engineering programs. Participate in the development of annual operating budgets for all pre-college STEM programs. Expanded and grew the GEA program to over 100 middle and high school girls since the program’s inception. Develop and implement systems and processes to establish and maintain documentation and metrics for the STEM office. Responsible for the hiring, supervision, and evaluation of project staff. Prepared and wrote grant proposals to industry and governmental entities for the funding of STEM initiatives. Received NASA funding for eight consecutive years. Instrumental in developing collaborative new partnerships with industry to create new funding sources. Established partnerships with school districts and universities for recruiting students. Recently established the Boys in Engineering STEM Academy in effort to recruit underrepresented males into STEM education programs. (2016 – Present)
