Co-Programme Chair with Dr. Linda King for 8 years during a period of significant transition for both the programme and team; leading to increased successes for students and graduates in national and international competitions; improved student retention; and increased demand for places. Studio Coordinator for all practice based modules during this time; with responsibility for curriculum design, restructuring and development; academic oversight and quality assurance; operations and logistics; staff support and mentoring; pastoral guidance for students.Pedagogical developments include the introduction of robust working frameworks for all strands of the programme, an increase in blended delivery across all years of study, strengthening the links between theory and practice through projects, crits and symposia; successfully leading the programme through two Programmatic Reviews (2013–2015, 2016–2021).Connections with industry were expanded through numerous live projects and partnerships; introducing accredited industry internships for national and international placements; expanding the network of external examiners and visiting industry experts, including alumni; extending the programme’s Erasmus partnerships, including student and staff exchanges and industry placements; working closely with professional bodies to expand student opportunities including hosting the Institute of Designers in Ireland Graduate Awards (2017, 2018) and expanding the submission categories.

This ambitious project is led by Aalto University (Helsinki, Finland) and involves leading art and design schools across the continent: ASP Art Academy (Katowice, Poland), DA Academy of Arts (Vilnius, Lithuania), the Icelandic University of Arts (Reykjavík) and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Antwerp, Belgium). The IADT contribution is led by co-Principal Investigators Gerard Fox and Dr Linda King, with support from Peter Evers and Dr Tina Kinsella.
