Gerard (Jerry) Luckman’s pragmatic approach to the practice of law was shaped by his financial management positions at two major corporations. Jerry represents virtually every type of client in a financial workout or Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, including clients involved in distressed debt transactions, asset acquisitions, and asset sales outside of bankruptcy. He also represents debtors, creditors’ committees, equity holders, landlords, and secured and unsecured creditors. Jerry has extensive experience in corporate restructuring.In corporate workouts, Jerry negotiates, and executes the restructuring of, clients’ financial obligations. If filing for Chapter 11 is inevitable, he assists clients with filing the bankruptcy petition, manages the case and establishes either a reorganization or liquidation plan.
