Responsible for leading agency-wide integration efforts, wellness strategies and initiatives to drive positive change among AACI clients, patients, and served communities. Design, implement, and evaluate integrated wellness and community services that promote healthy independence, healthy lifestyles, and safety and security.Direct all aspects of program operations and service delivery to a diverse community of all abilities and ages. Manage operating budget of $3.2M, oversight of over 30 grants (local, state and federal) and a full time staff team of 20.Provide leadership to the following community programs:Youth Program: Coordination of Friday Night Live in 15 schools throughout Santa Clara County, after school programs, and special events that provide positive, healthy alternative activities that focus on youth leadership, development, safety & substance use prevention education.Older Adult Services: Culturally sensitive programs and safety net services that promotes healthy, active aging, wellness, independence and social engagement.HOPE Program (HIV Outreach, Prevention, and Education) aims to reduce the incidence of HIV infections by engaging the community in Santa Clara County through outreach activities, community events, educational workshops, and by providing free HIV Rapid Testing, Counseling and Referrals.Domestic Violence Program - Support, counselling, advocacy and safety net services for survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. Services include operation of 24 hour shelter (Asian Women’s Home) and Family Justice Center.Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Program: Court mandated program that provides multilingual education to convicted first and multiple DUI offenders on issues regarding alcohol and other substance abuse.

Managed Older Adult and Therapeutic Recreation programs and service deliveries, increasing program revenues by 200% through continuous improvement. Strategically planned and managed budget preparation, administrative reports, contracts, community outreach, implementation of inclusion policy, advocacy and staff development. Supervised 11 person team and coordinated with Senior Advisory Committee.Managed customer service operations process including class registrations and facility reservations for Community Services Division. Oversight of on site and online customer service functions, including operations of Customer Relationship Management and Vermont Systems RecTrac Software.Increased program efficiency and operations at Sunnyvale Senior Center. Achieved a 43% cost recovery rate, increasing overall program revenues by $80k; and secured over $250k in grants and sponsors.Developed and implemented public health and care management programs, including Active Aging Week Event in collaboration with over 20 non-profit agencies (operating since 2010), which was recognized by California Parks and Recreation Society with “Award of Excellence” in 2015. Enhanced program protocols including establishing new measures, training and documentation procedures. Enhanced care management programs through a collaboration and implemented a “friendly visitor program” for homebound seniors. Successfully secured City of Sunnyvale’s membership in the World Health Organization’s Global Network of Age Friendly Cities and Communities. Facilitated community meetings and coordinated a citywide survey for the community’s input on how to be more age-friendly for residents.

Supervised six part time staff and over 25 volunteers. Coordinated Senior Advisory Commission and Friends of San Carlos Senior Center. Managed about 20 programs and services at the Older Adult Community Center and Therapeutic Recreation Services. Developed, planned, implemented and evaluated recreation programs for seniors and individuals with a variety of disabilities of all ages.Responsibilities included $500k budget preparation and management, marketing, monthly and annual reports, contract management, and staff development. Provided guidance on strategic program development and implementation based on measurable outcomes (i.e. activities that focused on gross motor development and daily living activities) for the Therapeutic Recreation Program.

Managed operations of two full service community centers and youth theater program, as well as $1.1M operating budget, for Camden & Kirk Community Centers and Young People’s Theater Program. Supervised over 50 staff members and coordinated District 9 Community Advisory Council, with population base of over 100,000. Worked with Public Works during 60,000 square feet Community Center Renovation project at Camden Community Center.Managed Special Olympics of Santa Clara County regional events including fundraising events, training and sport tournaments. Planned, implemented and evaluated a variety of recreation, leisure and community programs for individuals with disabilities. Served on an organizing committee that planned and implemented the 2000 Junior National Wheelchair Championships in San Jose.
