Gerard Keena is an experienced professional in the specialized area of Receivership. He is currently the President of the California State Receivers Forum. He acts as arents and profits receiver, equity receiver, partition referee as well as a health and safetyreceiver. As a court appointed professional he has been involved in a wide variety of asset typesas they relate to real estate management, business operations, and sale of assets. This includesthe day-to-day oversight of residential, commercial, and industrial real estate portfoliosoriginated from major financial institutions and municipalities.Mr. Keena has been responsible for numerous types of commercial and residential real property,including high-rise & suburban office buildings, industrial parks, apartment complexes, retailproperty, gas stations, hotels, motels, single family homes and abandoned and/or nuisanceproperties throughout the State of California.Mr. Keena navigates these challenging circumstances with a goal towards responsiveness andefficiency. As a former commercial real estate banker for 5 years with Chase he is able to quicklyassess critical financial issues. As a former bankruptcy restructuring professional for 12 years heis well equipped to jump into the middle of a distressed situations tasked with maintaining orderto the day-to-day operations of the business. Mr. Keena accomplishes this by working closelywith all parties to quickly learn about the business as well as how to access the relevant financialinformation in order to devise a plan. Mr. Keena brings to each assignment a broad range of skillsincluding expertise in cash flow analysis and financial budgeting and forecasting.Mr. Keena received a Bachelor of Arts from Hamilton College and received a Masters of BusinessAdministration from the University of Rochester. Mr. Keena has been a guest speaker andpanelist for the California Receivers Forum – Bay Area Chapter where he is a member of theboard of directors.
