About Gerardo Ibarra

Traveler, specialist in sustainability and socio-environmental impact.I have trained and accompanied more than 120 organizations in Mexico, Africa and South America.I am a speaker and workshop facilitator and I am a content creator for independent media and digital platforms.I have a Master's Degree in Sustainable Tourism and a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from IBERO Torreón. I am certified as a development instructor. For more than 15 years, I have worked in leadership and management positions in development projects, socio-environmental impact and sustainable tourism.I have led professional work teams and led groups of more than 400 people in social and environmental impact activities and corporate volunteering.I am the founder of two Mexican socio-environmental companies dedicated to sustainable tourism and the marketing of mezcal: Ruta Origen and Colección de Mezcales. With these companies we have managed to impact more than two hundred and fifty people directly through the development of skills, job creation and the creation of new sources of income.During my career, I have been able to train and accompany more than 120 ocompanies and entrepreneurs through consultancies, specialized mentoring, workshops and conferences. I have collaborated with projects such as BBVA Momentum, Fundemex, New Ventures, Fundación EDUCA and through universities such as the Universidad Iberoamericana, ITESO, Tec de Monterrey, the Autonomous University of the State of Chiapas, Earth and Life University and the Universidad del Medio Ambiente.I am a content creator for specialized and independent media with photo reports on sustainability, travel and socio-environmental impact.
