Gerard is a seasoned professional with extensive experience working in major international companies. He has worked with companies such as ABB, Pechiney, Coca-Cola, Allianz, Textron, Limagrain, among others, where he has gained a lot of experience in managing information systems and strategic technology purchasing.Gerard has recently retired. Until his retirement, he worked as an operational advisor for industrial and service companies. He helped them solve various IS/IT issues, with a particular focus on negotiating and managing contracts for business process outsourcing. Gerard is a certified Six Sigma professional in Lean process improvement.Gerard's ability to manage cross-functional relationships has been instrumental in implementing innovation across borders. He has successfully managed IT projects in more than 30 countries.Early in his career, Gerard led the implementation of a new IT infrastructure at Pechiney, a French aluminum giant, as part of a company-wide transformation. He was then hired by Coca-Cola to pursue the implementation of new technologies. Working across 40 locations, Gerard drove the transformation of the European Network of Coca-Cola, becoming a specialist in negotiating IT contracts, especially those for outsourcing services.Gerard later became the head of organization and information systems (CIO) for a major subsidiary of the newly created Mondial Assistance Group. Here, he was heavily involved in strategic transformations such as launching the e-commerce sale of travel insurance and creating an intranet covering 28 countries from scratch.Gerard is a sought-after speaker and has led conferences on various topics. Notably, he has spoken on "mobile telecom" at the IT Procurement Summit in the USA.
