Duties & Responsibilities:• To ensure optimal performance on network quality (e.g. call set-up success rate, call retention rate, call success rate, availability) by monitoring the network statistics through tools such as Netscope, Netstats, CAT, NHA, Radio Commander, OTS and the OMCR• To give high level support to Technical Officers during their daily functions with escalated and in depth network faults (e.g. hardware problems)• To pro-actively analyse and verify in-depth network problems by performing traces on BSC, PCU and transcoder level• To compile monthly reports on the network performance as well as all required statistics and ad hoc reports as per required timelines, standards and formats• To evaluate and analyse job orders and suggest possible solutions / alternatives to other divisions (e.g. Planning and Installations) before execution of the job orders• To rectify all network quality faults received from CIC and the NMC as per received information and timelines• To provide assistance and support to all network related divisions as and when required• Liaise with vendors regarding perplexing faults• Manage technical special projects

Duties & Responsibilities:1. To maintain the GSM network in its totality by conducting routine and preventative maintenance as well as fault repair to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance to set company standards, policies, procedures and targets.2. To compile monthly reports on maintenance activities in the GSM network for the month as well as to update the maintenance database and site files (checklists & photos).3. To liaise with different role players (planning, customer care, maintenance, NMC, other SP’s, etc) on a continuous basis to ensure that the network quality is maintained and enhanced as per set company standards.4. To conduct maintenance checks on all aspects of the sites (road, site, tower, antennas, container, BTS, rectifier, batteries, air conditioners, alarms, cables, signal strength) and ensure that the quality of the network is enhanced and maintained to ensure customer satisfaction.5. To ensure the availability of spares for the network in the remote stores as well as the vehicle stores to meet either capacity or maintenance requirements as well as to do forecasting on needs for spares and equipment as and when required.6. To scan all sites for the purpose of updating Omnix with all equipment in the network in order to ensure that there is compliance to ISO 9000 regulations and specifications.7. To assist customers with problems and queries on Vodacom’s products and services when they visit the remote offices to ensure customer satisfaction and retention of Vodacom customers.8. To ensure compliance to all company policies and procedures (health and safety, pc, access control, etc.) at the remote Vodacom offices.9. To conduct site acceptance (quality control) on work done by contractors to ensure that the set standards are met and all policies and procedures are comply with.

Duties & Responsibilities:Transmission department. Proactive maintenance as well as preventative maintenance on Telkom Core network. i.e. 2, 8, 32, 140, 155, 565, 622Mbit/s and 2.4Gbit/s coax/optic systems. This entailed fault finding and repair of mentioned equipment.
