Led all aspects of manufacturing operations of donor apheresis and whole blood procedures performed at CBC mobiles, site operations, auditing, Donor Records and Registration, Special Donations, Donor Notification, and Outpatient Apheresis. Maintains a safe and effective donor program that complies with applicable internal, FDA, AABB, CSL, OSHA, CLIA and Quality regulations. Evaluates appropriate use of all manufacturing and donor apheresis related resources, including equipment, staff, and vendor related contracts. Accountable for applicable standard operating procedure implementation. Accountable for financial oversight and adherence to budget, meeting projected goals and maintaining adequate inventories to meet hospital customer needs. Oversee 200 staff at 6 locations.Achieved budget in all Donor Room Services Departments in 2010-2012 while meeting increasing production goals.Achieved production goals year over year.Responsible for project coordination, administration and implementation.Created a Succession Planning series in 2010. Managers involved in presentation and staff involved through questionnaires. On-going.Created 2 Senior Manager positions in 2011 to ensure depth and advancement for department.Reduced overhead by closing a site. No disruption to production. $300K in savings (labor and facility costs).Reduced one department overhead while still meeting customer need. Department concentrates on special donations. The savings were $30K.Introduced new technology to our mobile collection team to meet increasing product demand (apheresis platelets).
