Led a project to study the role of microtubules in cell cycle regulation and metastasis of MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells. My main obligation involved engineering cells for optimal live-cell imaging under a fluorescent microscope.• Extracted and isolated plasmid DNA from genetically engineered bacteria for MDA-MB-231 cell transfection and microtubule staining. • Executed restriction digest assays along with gel electrophoresis to verify plasmid DNA configuration. • Developed proper and sterile cell/bacterial culture techniques. • Effectively trained student successor to the project.
