Prior to studying his Ph.D., German was a principal in Oliver Wyman's Financial Services practice, based in New York. At Oliver Wyman, German advised a wide range of financial institutions on a variety of pressing strategic issues. German’s primary focus was on finance and risk management, including stress testing, financial and risk modeling and model risk management. German also helped financial institutions address top-line growth, identify new business development opportunities and assess the value and risks from potential M&A activity. German holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Finance and Economics from New York University, as well as a M. Eng. and a B.S. in Operations Research and Information Engineering from Cornell University.
