Dr. Gerri Wolfe brings 22 years of experience in higher education and has developed a solid record of achievement in the areas of administration, disability services, teaching, grant writing, policy, and program development. She collaborates with related agencies to advance equal access for students with disabilities through the development of local and statewide policy and initiatives. She works closely with campus and community leaders in developing, writing, and subsequently, managing competitive grant programs as well as provide leadership to a wide variety of programs and services designed to support students and retention efforts. Dr. Wolfe is active in the community and currently serves on regional and state Transition Steering Committees, University System of Georgia (USG) Disability Documentation Guidelines Review Committee, the USG Administrative Committee on Learning Disorders, and the State of Georgia ADA Coordinator’s Conference/Training Committee. She was also instrumental in organizing the Alabama state organization for disability service providers. Dr. Wolfe earned her doctorate in Rehabilitation and Special Education from Auburn University and publishes, presents, and consults regularly on disability issues. Specialties include: Disability documentation standards, determining reasonable accommodations, policy-making, transition guidance, disability services program evaluation and training, alternative media, grantsmanship.
