As well as this, I undertook a strategic reviews of NHS integrated care networks within various health sectors, predominantly within community and inpatient mental health services. Whilst in my role a variety of data visualisations and statistical models were produced, including the production, deployment, and maintenance of interactive online dashboards. By doing so I could provide a deeper understanding of underlying datasets, with software such as R, Python, Excel, and Power BI being used. Throughout my time at Niche, I have aided and encouraged a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the company. Outside of my main role as a data scientist I was elected as an EOT staff representative and held positions on the Analytics Cabinet, Quality and Compliance Committee and the People and Safety Committee. I was also responsible for the maintenance of the company website, which required knowledge of Google Analytics and WordPress. Show less

Over the course of my PhD, I have taught tutorials for undergraduate mathematicians and engineers at The University of Manchester, with class sizes varying from 10 to 60 students. This involved analysing feedback to ensure future sessions were relevant and engaging to students of all abilities. Undertook marking responsibilities for both coursework and exam scripts for a variety of undergraduate courses. This improved my skills in time management due to the importance of meeting deadlines. On top of this, I was also responsible for invigilating students during exams and ensuring scripts were marked correctly.

Over a 12 week paid summer internship I researched structural properties of graphene at The University of Manchester. The internship involved individual research on electromagnetic plate theory with computations being performed in MATLAB, Comsol and Mathematica. My ability to present findings to supervisors was improved over the course of the internship witha detailed 45-page report being produced.
