Worked on Species Identifier (http://code.google.com/p/taxondna/), a Java-based bioinformatics software for analysing and editing datasets. Research facilitated with this tool was published in 2006.Worked on Sequence Matrix (http://code.google.com/p/sequencematrix/), a Java-based bioinformatics tool for concatenating multiple datasets. It was accepted for publication in a scientific journal in 2010.Assisted with IT requirements in the lab environment, including executing jobs on high-performance clusters and allowing old computers, including eMacs, to be used as undergraduate lab equipment.
