About Greg Hostetler

I possess a Master's Degree in organic chemistry with 26 years of industrial experience. As a medicinal chemist for 15 years, my experience included designing and optimizing synthetic routes as well as optimizing SAR and SPR to improve ADME properties and drug-related characteristics such as binding affinity, metabolic stability, CYP binding, hERG liability, and receptor selectivity. Transitioning out of the pharmaceutical industry into the electronics industry, my initial experience in the OLED field involved designing and optimizing the performance of host, dopant, and HTL compounds. My polyimide research involved discovering novel monomers for the development of colorless polyimide films and polymers for the redistribution layer for advanced packaging (FO-WLP). I conducted syntheses of monomers and polymers for the development of low loss waveguides and high refractive index applications. I am a very passionate chemist who delves into the literature to determine past and present research relevant to my efforts to help guide novel idea generation.
