Managing an indoor climbing wall in order to mitigate risks for participants and teach them about indoor rock climbing.

A seasonal position working with and managing a team of individuals to operate the program area of Outdoor Adventure. A high ropes course, mountain biking, archery, and nature excursions are run under my guidance, where I facilitate alongside them as well as creating schedules, fostering leadership, seeking ways to improve and more.

Worked multiple one and two week sessions with a cabin of 6-15 y/o boys. Managed the boys side of camp to ensure a fun and engaging environment. Facilitated conversations between counselors and campers when conflict occured. Acted as a voice piece for the other counselors and communicated frequently with the program directors. Acted as the climbing wall captain which saw me facilitating most climbing wall class periods. Maintained, inspected, and cataloged all climbing wall equipment and it's use. Managed other climbing wall staff to ensure policies were followed appropriately.

Worked multiple two and one week sessions with kids ranging from 6-14 building bonds and life long friendships. Led thoughtful and engaging classes in a variety of topics. Helped facilitate growth and independence in youth. Corresponded with coworkers to provide a smooth program for campers. Promoted conflict resolution techniques between campers and staff. Became certified to use and manage their archery range. Became certified to use and manage their high ropes and low ropes course.
