CurrentMHAction, a project of Tides Center, is a growing national movement of manufactured home community residents who organize their neighbors, build campaigns to protect the affordability and quality of their communities, and fight to advance racial, economic, and gender justice. Our movement is built on a core belief that everyone should have a healthy, vibrant community and decent, affordable place to call home. At MHAction my work consists of:• Arts & Communications: Curated panels on the intersection of social, public, and environmental health repercussions that arise due to land exploitation that included artists, academics, housing justice advocates, political candidates, and resident leaders• Report building: Synthesized survey data and designed graphics, charts, and diagrams for the 2022 MHAction report which captured the experience and impact of predatory real estate speculators imposing unjustified and continual rent increases for MHC residents in New York State.• Issue Campaign Organizing: Responsible for compiling materials and media plans that support the implementation of local, statewide and national campaigns. • Action Planning: Coordinated a variety of strategic and direct actions which included the development of the following skills: logistics coordination, leadership preparation, press/media outreach and opposition research. • Legislative advocacy: Aided in the organizing of legislative visits to State Representative offices with ally organizations and coalitions • Fundraising and Resource Administration: Researched, drafted, and submitted grant proposals
