I worked at Northparkes Mines for the summer as an internship mechanical engineer. I was located in the Asset Management Team working alongside draftsmen, project managers and senior mechanical engineers. I focused on the design and installation of machine guards (both surface and underground) as a solution of machine guarding non conformances found on site.I also worked on the update and redesign of process flow diagrams (surface plan) and ore flow diagrams (underground) as part of the mine expansion plan.
