About Gideon Goldin

I am currently a UX Lead at Tableau, prior to which I spent 7 years building and leading design at MIT-spinoff Tamr. My background is in psychology (PhD) and HCI (Masters in CS). Previously I worked as a UX advisor to Empirical (also MIT spinoff acquired by Tableau), Sigma Surgical, and as a design consultant for projects at Area 120 (Google), Stack Education, Praetorian, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and Sally Mann. Before moving to Cambridge, I lived in Providence, RI where I worked as an independent consultant and then adjunct professor at UMass Darthmouth. I’ve given talks and courses on data visualization and prototyping at Brown, Bentley, MIT, and the Startup Institute.
